Portable Charger

A portable charger is a must-have for anyone traveling and planning to be outside most of the day. Having a limited amount of battery can definitely stress someone out during their trip, and I truly believe this should be on everyone’s travel essentials list. You can not only charge your phone but other electronics like a camera and headphones. Be sure to charge it each night to get 2-3 full charges on your phone. Sometimes, I even like to bring 2 portable chargers just in case.
My pick would be the Anker Portable Charger (PowerCore Slim 10K for their slim and light look and feel for its large cell capacity and makes this the best portable charger for traveling.

Universal Travel Adapter

Electrical outlets around the world vary, and right now, there are 15 types of electrical plugs and corresponding sockets worldwide. To avoid not being able to use your plugs in a new country, get a universal travel adapter and bring it anywhere you go and you’ll never have to worry ever again!

I recommend the EPICKA Universal Travel Adapter, All-in-one-world multi-function Travel Adapter that covers more than 150 countries. because with one outlet, it lets you charge 6 devices simultaneously with high speed with 4 USB Ports, 1 USB TYPE C and 1 AC Socket connected. This comes in handy to use in hotels with limited wall outlets, and is the best tool to have when traveling internationally.

Electric luggage scale

When traveling on a budget, it’s important to be able to know the weight of your luggage to make sure have to pay surprise overweight luggage costs at the airport. This is often overlooked in people’s travel essentials list. A lot of the time, I would only be able to have 7kg of carry-on items and having a scale helped me organize and help me pack.

I recommend the LCD Display Electronic Balance Digital Hanging Scale because of its size and convenience of its digital hanging scale method. I always wrap the fabric around the handle and lift it up with the scale and it quickly lets me know how much weight is being carried. Portable and easy to store at home or in your suitcase.

Cell phone holder

Recently, before heading to an airplane, I been downloading a lot of Netflix shows and then had trouble watching them on the plane. Some budget airplanes don’t even have screens so this might be the only way to get entertainment. I wasn’t able to find anything to lean my phone against on and realized how much a phone holder would have benefited me. Something small like this can really affect a flight.

My recommendation would be the Lamicall Foldable and Height Adjustable Phone Stand for Desk its compact and easy to carry places. The design is slick and can even use at home, at an office, or at a cafe. You can even use it as a tripod and take stationary photos of your self while on vacation!

Water bottle

Water bottles are a must for traveling in order to take advantage of water fountains that can be found in airports and public areas in order to avoid having to pay for water bottles in expensive tourist areas. Carrying a water bottle with you is also a reminder to always drink water to avoid dehydration. With water bottles, you can save money and replace single-use plastic water bottle consumtions.

I recommend the Brita Water Bottle with Filter because it has a built-in filter to reduce chlorine (taste and odor), so you can put tap water in the bottle to make great-tasting water, making it impossible to make excuses to become dehydrated!

When traveling, most people spend hours outside for days at a time, and sunscreen will protect your skin from the sun. The sun produces natural energy in the form of ultraviolet (UV) rays that can cause damage to the skin.

I use Biore Uv Aqua Rich Smooth Watery Gel Spf50 + because of its watery gel, it doesn’t give me a white cast and moisturizes my face. Light, easy to apply, strong coverage, but not too sunscreen-y feeling.

Hand sanitizer and wipes

One of the last things you want to be while traveling is to be sick, and of course, sometimes, it’s inevitable, but we can at least try our best to stay healthy. Holding a small hand sanatizer can come in handy in any situation, like using it after a train ride or before eating at a bakery. Hand sanitizers usually Kill 99.99 percent of most common germs that can cause illness, without damaging the skin.

My recommendation is the Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer Gel Infused with Essential Oils. This 1 fl oz bottle can be tucked away in your purse, cross bag, diaper bag, or check-in luggage.

Small bag

I love carrying small bags around since it makes moving around so much easier but also helps me carry only my important items close to myself. I always make sure to carry a small bag to put my passport and wallet in when I go to the airport so I didn’t need to take my backpack on and off and search for my stuff every time.

I recommend and use a bag that is very similar to Mini Crossbody Bag Small Shoulder Bag. This bag can be used as a mini black messenger bag /cross body bag/ shoulder bag or even a sling bag. This mini messenger bag is perfect for business, outdoor sports, traveling, working, etc. It can hold phones, money, cards, room key, chapstick and hand sanitizer. It’s lightweight and has a long strap.

Carry-on Backpack

A good backpack can go a long way. It can be used as a carry-on backpack, but also during your adventures while traveling. I always opt to carry a backpack for carry-on instead of a small suitcase because it is easier to transport around and can be hands-free on trains and buses to the airport. A bag like this can fit clothes for 3-5 days.

I recommend getting a bag like Large Travel Backpack Women. This backpack is made of waterproof durable polyester, good air permeability, and heat dissipation with two padded shoulder straps that offer lightweight carrying and force reinforcement. The bag even has separate Shoe Compartment Design & Wet Bag!

Noise canceling headphones

Noise-canceling headphones are a must-have when boarding long plane rides. Block out all the kids crying and enter your own world thousands of miles above the ground. Just be sure not to use it often while exploring and traveling since it may take away your traveling experience.

I love my Apple AirPods Pro since it’s comfortable and has Bluetooth. It has 2 different modes, active noise cancellation, which blocks outside noise, and transparency mode for hearing and interacting with the world around me. It’s really useful being able to switch modes and hear everything around me without having to take off my AirPods. I never leave the house without it.

Internet and Data

One of the most important things that a lot of people tend to forget while traveling abroad is the importance of being connected to the internet. Internet is needed on your phone in order to be in touch with friends and family back home, get directions while traveling, or just trying to figure out your next move. The last thing you want to do on your trip having to stress about how to get data while Abroad and running to different cafes, restaurants and stores to try to get their free wifi. To avoid this, knowing how to get data should be on every travel essentials list. There are many ways to get data and internet on your phone and I have made a blog post about it.

I recommend getting an e-sim from Airalo is the world’s first eSIM store and offers eSIMs for over 190+ countries and regions at the most affordable rates from around the world. They use a local data provider internet working within minutes and is entirely prepaid and has no hidden fees. I used them while I was in Thailand and Japan, and both times it was easy to download and use.
