Good Noodle Bangkok is Thailand’s first instant noodle minimart with a dine-in area. You can customize your selected ramen with your favorite toppings to create your perfect ramen!
Good Noodle Bangkok is located conveniently at the B level of Union Mall, located in the Chatuchak area. It is very easy to assess with either MRT’s Phahon Yothin station or BTS’ Ha Yaek Lat Phrao Station. Union Mall is actually popular with the locals for clothes shopping since most of the shops have fixed low prices.
I am a huge instant noodle fan so visiting here was a dream come true. The store is an instant noodle paradise with the walls and shelves all covered in instant ramen packs. The shelves are separated into sections with flags indicating their place of origin. Honestly, I was expecting the store to be bigger but it was enough to have a good variety of ramen.
It seems that most of the ramen they have in stock are ramens that can be found in supermarkets around Bangkok, but I personally didn’t have the chance to go to supermarkets, so to me, I saw so many ramens that I have never seen, like Irvin’s Salted egg ramen.
The condiments are the only areas in which you might spend extra money than expected with each topping being 20 bahts which can feel overpriced due to some of the ramen packs being priced under 20 bahts. I wish that they had english explanations for the toppings so I exactly knew what each item was. Other than that, the store was filled with many other snacks, and drinks as well.
At the cash register they ask if you are eating at the shop, and if you are, they give you a bowl for your ramen. There also seems to be a charge for the cooking bowl. After paying, they guide you to the machine that dispenses hot water. This reminded me of the machines are found in Korean connivence stores.
There were English explanations on the counters, but the staff was also extremely helpful and guided me on how to cook the noodles using the instant noodle machines and helped me open the packages.
Here is my completed ramen bowl! I used the pork flavor of Mama Instant ramen with bacon, naruto, egg, and cheese topping. I made a mess while opening up the seasoning and it spilled all over the tray.
Good Noodle Bangkok is just really a glorified ramen instant shop, but a great and fun place to take photos for Instagram. Everything was extremely unique and fun, and definitely worth a visit at least once if you want to elevate your ramen game.
